TEMPE, Ariz., July 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting this weekend, US Airways (NYSE:LCC) will celebrate new service, jobs and airport facilities at Washington D.C.'s Reagan National Airport with a month-long campaign of promotions, surprises and events that give back to the community called "30 Days for D.C." A different event will take place each day from July 7 through August 5. The campaign kicks off Saturday with a double miles offer for Dividend Miles members who book trips that start or end at Reagan National Airport between July 7 and August 5 for travel July 7 through September 30.* On Sunday US Airways will present the USO of Metropolitan Washington with a check for $10,000 and serve pizza to active duty service members at its Reagan National location.

The campaign is the airline's way of thanking its customers for embracing its new service between Washington's downtown airport and 22 new communities in the U.S. and Canada. Service to 17 new communities began last spring and on July 11, the airline will begin service between Reagan National and Augusta, Ga., Minneapolis, Fayetteville, Ark., Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario. To support the expanded service, US Airways has added 100 new jobs at Reagan National, is adding three new gates on the Center Pier and will open a new US Airways Club, its second in the airport, conveniently located near the new departure gates.
