UPDATE: West Virginia Library Commission Provides Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success™ as Online Resource for WV Region 2 Workforce Investment Board
NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LearningExpress, LLC announces the West Virginia Library Commission's (WVLC) selection of Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success™ for use in West Virginia Region 2 Workforce Investment Board. Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success is a comprehensive online learning platform and valuable career resource and job search tool that can boost basic workplace skills, prepare workers for high-wage and high-skilled employment, and provide guidance in job search and real-time job postings.
The easy-to-use platform provides valuable guidance through engaging tools such as self-directed tutorials, practice tests and exercises, and eBooks which help to improve the skills needed by job seekers for success in today's workplace. WVLC leads in the delivery of these tools to job seekers by joining with West Virginia Region 2 Workforce Investment Board, a non-profit corporation focused on reducing unemployment.

Funding for this program is provided by the Library Services and Technology Act administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the West Virginia Library Commission in partnership with the West Virginia Region 2 Workforce Investment Board. West Virginia Region 2 Workforce Investment Board includes seven rural counties located in southwest West Virginia. The Comprehensive Center and headquarters for Region 2 is Cabell-Huntington, with affiliate sites in Boone, Lincoln, Mingo, Putnam, and Wayne, and a satellite site in Logan.
