Up 102%, Shopatron Snowsports Brands Shred the Preseason
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Winter is still a few weeks away, but online sales are already in midseason form for Shopatron snowsports clients. Snowsports brands using Shopatron's retail-friendly eCommerce system saw same-store sales snowball in the third quarter, growing 102 percent year-over-year for the three-month period ending September 30.
Shopatron attributes Q3 growth to a rebound in consumer spending, and the increased willingness of today's shopper to make large purchases – for products such as skis and snowboards – online.
Using Shopatron's patent-pending order exchange, brands are able to capture sales on their trusted company website and pass those orders directly to authorized, local retailers for delivery or in-store pickup. Retail-integrated eCommerce helps brands improve relationships with both retailers and their customers. By choosing to purchase gear from a brand on Shopatron, shoppers receive the best of both worlds: product from a trusted brand and service and support from their local ski or snowboard shop.
"The biggest and best brands in the snowsports industry have found that they don't have to frustrate their retailers when working directly with the end-consumer," said Ed Stevens, Founder and CEO of Shopatron. "All groups in the industry, from the brands, to the retail buying groups, to the ski and snowboard associations have found a way to work together and promote the industry as a whole. They have realized that great brands and local expertise are a recipe for a better overall experience."
Shopatron currently provides eCommerce solutions to more than 50 snowsports brands, using US consumer stores, international, multi-language/multi-currency stores and pro stores for well-known snowsports brands such as K2, Rossignol and Nordica.
Other excellent brands launched by Shopatron this year – in time for the holiday shopping season – include Rome SDS, Venture Snowboards, Riverside Cartop Carriers, NXTZ, Ortovox, Planet Earth Clothing and Chaos Hats.
