Untangle Expands Cloud Deployments, Remote Management Product Offerings & Increases Endpoint Visibility
Untangle Enhances Network Security, Visibility and Control for SMB IT
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Untangle® Inc., a leader in comprehensive network security for small-to-medium business, today announced the availability of its award-winning NG Firewall software for Microsoft Azure, providing additional deployment options for customers who wish to run NG Firewall in the public cloud. NG Firewall is available to be licensed for Azure via both PAYG (pay as you go) and BYOL (bring your own license) models.
"With the release of Untangle NG Firewall for Azure, we now benefit from the simplicity and ease-of-use of having a single product and interface for on-premises, as well as cloud infrastructure, deployments," said David Groot, owner, Windstar Technologies. "As a Microsoft partner, we work in Azure as our preferred cloud environment. Untangle NG Firewall for Azure allows us to be able to continue to meet our clients' security and compliance needs with an alternative product for SIEM and syslog collection. With the rise of virtual desktops, and Azure Active Directory becoming more mature, we have an increased need to manage policies from the cloud. Untangle makes it easy to train our techs on one system for both cloud and on-premises deployments, using the same settings for both installation types."
Untangle Command Center provides centralized, remote management for distributed organizations that need cloud-based control over NG Firewall deployments, remote networks, and connected endpoints. Recent updates to Command Center now provide even easier installation of NG Firewall appliances at remote locations via zero touch provisioning, ideal for MSPs and distributed organizations. With zero touch provisioning, administrators can deploy NG Firewall without physical access to remote servers, saving both time and money.
"Today's announcement offers new options for our growing cloud firewall customer base," said Heather Paunet, vice president of product management at Untangle. "In conjunction with our award-winning remote management platform, Command Center, NG Firewall provides the easiest way for organizations to safeguard their cloud-connected networks, users, data and devices across dispersed locations without the constraints of on-premises hardware."
Additionally, Command Center is now integrated with Malwarebytes, the leading advanced endpoint protection and remediation solution, to provide endpoint visibility for consistent and comprehensive security across dispersed networks and connected devices. In addition to threat alerting and reporting, this integration also gives administrators the ability to view the status of the last Malwarebytes scan, or initiate a scan on any host, ensuring a consistent security posture across the network.
