DALLAS, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce the "Latino Employee Resource Group (ERG) Summit and Corporate Challenge" at the 31st Annual National Convention & Business Expo in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010.
The Latino ERG Summit and Corporate Challenge is designed to bring Latino ERGs together to share best practices and to provide compelling results on the value of Latino ERGs in corporate America. The three key components include:
1. The Growing Importance of Latino ERG's
Successful groups of Hispanic employees who have formed strong bonds within their corporations, across departments, functions and geographic locations will share their challenges and successes; discuss why and how corporate executives should support Latino ERGs; how ERGs can align their efforts with those of their organizations; and emphasize the value that ERGs bring to their respective corporations.
2. Latino ERG Leadership Panel
A panel of corporate leaders and employees will provide various perspectives and share best practices of ERGs.
3. Best-in-Class Latino ERG Presentations
In an effort to identify The Best Latino ERG, the USHCC developed a Corporate Challenge for those corporations with Latino ERGs. Over 20 corporations from across the country entered the Challenge and the Top Five corporations were selected by an independent review panel. The top five finalists include: AT&T, Exxon Mobil, Johnson & Johnson, State Farm and Shell Oil. These finalists will be sharing their challenges, successes and future endeavors.
