UNICO National President Thomas J. Vaughan Jr. Speaks Out in Opposition of Removing Christopher Columbus Statue from Columbus Circle in NYC
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas J. Vaughn Jr., President of UNICO National, released the following statement regarding this issue:
"Columbus represents the contributions that Italians and Italian-Americans have made to make our country great. Applying 21st century morality to 15th century standards is not fair to anyone, let alone someone whose feat of connecting Europe to the Americas advanced civilization as we know it.
