Ultimus Announces Completion of 1st Tranche and Reveals 2018 Investment Plans
NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimus Asia has announced the completion of its first tranche of investments and has targeted four industries to invest in the Asia region. The four industries are namely agriculture, property, international trade and travel.
Ultimus Asia is multi fund, industry and geographic platform with a fund size of $1 billion. Its funds are advised by teams of professionals who live and work in markets where they invest- across 6 countries and forming one of the largest emerging markets presences in the industry.
The first tranche of investment was completed in Dec 2017 with funds from BNPPF Global and Asiaconomics Venture. This fund will be advised by regionally focused teams in Asia with each team focused on middle-market and growth companies consistent with specific regional investment considerations. Currently the fund has $100 million in assets under management (as of December 30, 2017).

Property where the fund seeks to provide investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of Asia residential property assets with the potential for attractive long-term returns through a combination of capital growth and net rental income.
International trade where we seeks to capitalize on regional free-trade zone by investing in trading and logistic companies.
As well as travel where the fund seeks to further diversify the portfolio by investing in the travel industry value chain, ranging from traditional and online travel agencies, air tickets brokerage companies, travel insurance and hospitality companies.
