UJA-Federation Of New York Annual Campaign Raises $153.4 Million
Total Fundraising for Year is $207.6 Million
NEW YORK, July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth year in a row, UJA-Federation of New York has raised more money in its annual campaign than the previous year - raising a total of $153.4 million, an increase of $2.6 million over last year. In addition to the annual campaign (which concluded on June 30), the organization recorded $39.2 million through planned giving and endowments and raised $15 million for capital projects and special initiatives. Total fundraising for the year is $207.6 million.
"At a time of increasing challenge and uncertainty, we're particularly grateful to our donors for their extraordinary generosity, enabling us to tackle an ever-growing list of urgent needs for millions of people in New York, Israel and around the world," said Eric S. UJA-Federation's annual campaign remains the single largest philanthropic effort by any local community in the world. The 2016 general campaign ran from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The 2015-2016 co-chairs were Jeffrey A. Schoenfeld and David Moore. Mark D. Medin serves as UJA-Federation executive vice president of Financial Resource Development.
