November 18 Real-Time Business Conference Will Also Feature Speakers from 13 Brands and Experts on Analytics, Influence Research and Social Search; Yahoo! and HP Sign on as Anchor Sponsors
NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- Modern Media today announced that it is partnering with Twitter application store oneforty.com to field new research to assess user and business reaction to Twitter's Promoted Products, the new advertising products that include Promoted Tweets, Promoted Trends and Promoted Accounts. The research will be released at TWTRCON SF 2010 (http://twtrcon.com/sf10/), a one-day conference on the business use of Twitter and other real-time tools taking place Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Hotel Nikko San Francisco. Kara Swisher, co-executive editor of D:All Things Digital, is scheduled to interview Twitter President of Revenue Adam Bain at the event.
"The introduction of these Promoted Products is an exciting new development for marketers who are thinking about how to best use the real-time web to engage their community," said Tonia Ries, founder and host of TWTRCON. "We're looking forward to hosting a very productive discussion next week." In addition to the survey, which is being fielded primarily to business marketers, TWTRCON is working with social media analytics vendor Objective Marketer to conduct sentiment analysis and assess response from users of Twitter.
The TWTRCON SF 2010 program includes business case studies from speakers such as Ford Motor Company's Scott Monty, Southwest Airlines' Linda Rutherford and Wells Fargo's Kimarie Matthews. Companies currently use Twitter and other real-time networks to promote their brands and respond to customer inquiries. The TWTRCON SF 2010 agenda is available online at http://twtrcon.com/sf10/agenda/.
TWTRCON also announced that HP and Yahoo! have signed on as anchor sponsors of next week's event. HP, whose HP Envy 15 laptop was recently named Computer of the Year by Wired magazine, will be sponsoring TWTRBall, a game in which attendees will compete for prizes by tweeting. Yahoo!, which offers highly targeted advertising solutions, will be conducting video interviews of TWTRCON attendees about their views on Twitter and the real-time web.
Additional sponsors include Platinum sponsors Tap11, CoTweet and ThreadMarketing, as well as Sprinklr, Zendesk, HootSuite, Gigya, MediaFunnel, Infogroup Interactive, TweetReach, Accessible Twitter, ObjectiveMarketer and Fliptop.
