CHICAGO, Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Easter Seals and Caring for Military Families: The Elizabeth Dole Foundation have created a three-part series for Hallmark "Home and Family" geared toward millions of military caregivers – showing them they are not alone in their experiences and that there is help available. The series also gives viewers a sense of the roles and responsibilities of these caregivers.
The series kicks off with Senator Elizabeth Dole and Easter Seals CEO Jim Williams discussing the importance of supporting this underserved community of hidden heroes.
Then, two brave military caregivers will share their personal experiences as young military caregivers – from explaining how their days differ from their peers, to the feelings of isolation and the importance of finding connections and support.
WHO: Tune in to Hallmark Channel's "Home and Family Veteran's Week" next week for a special three-part series created especially with military caregivers in mind. Whether it be a family member, friend, or neighbor who provides voluntary care for a current or former military service member with a disabling physical or emotional injury or illness, they've been a group neglected for too long.
WHEN: Week of November 10th
10 AM ET/PT

WHY: Each year we see heartwarming stories about those who have served our country. Not as much attention is paid to the 5.5 million military caregivers who support our nation's wounded warriors.
