TRG Announces Purchase of New Building on Viking Parkway in Westlake, Ohio
CLEVELAND, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology Recovery Group (TRG), a TruWest company, will expand its operations down the street from its existing 95k square-foot Viking Parkway headquarters in Westlake on December 15th, 2017. The new 40k square-foot facility will allow for ample expansion over the next year, including TRG's new Deployment & Solutions Center.
TRG has seen a 30% growth rate year over year for the past 10 years. After the acquisition of Quest Integrated Solutions and the expansion of TRG's wireless services group, the company leadership knew it was time for additional space. "This new facility is vital to TRG's success as we look to expand our technical capabilities and retail service offerings," says Chief Financial Officer, Brent Leslie. "We will be relocating 30 or so employees across several departments to this new space, allowing us to repurpose current office space for the technical lab. We are maxed out on room right now, so this new building will be a relief for all of us." Leslie projects TRG to hire nearly 50 more employees in 2018, an undertaking that would not be possible without the additional building.
The current business headquarters that TRG moved into just over three years ago was originally intended to last for at least 10 years. However, large-scale retail, transportation, and distribution accounts have necessitated additional service offerings, employees, warehouse space, and a larger footprint to complete existing tasks. While mitigating some minor delays with the development of a new 30k square-foot Sales and Marketing Office on Lake Road in Rocky River, TRG leadership made the decision to purchase additional property on Viking Parkway. "We still plan on developing the property on Lake Road, but the process has taken longer than expected," explains TRG President, Sean Kennedy. "Leadership is very excited that we are able to maintain a campus-like environment for all of our employees with the addition of the building next door," Kennedy explained.
Valerie Savage, Director of Employee Experience, is happy that the new facility's close proximity to the existing headquarters will not hinder TRG's culture-driven workplace. "Employees will still have full access to the unique and fun TRG culture," she says. "The gym, yoga, fitness instructors, basketball court, movie days, and other employee-centric perks are important. We're glad that this facility is within walking distance to keep these things that our employees value nearby."
TRG also operates global offices in Toronto, Ontario and Nijmegen, Netherlands, as well as a service centers in Cincinnati, Ohio and Bellingham, Washington. In addition, TRG has remote offices throughout the United States, including Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Detroit, Memphis, and Minneapolis.
