Travora Media Launches the First Mobile App for GAYOT.com via Partnership with GAYOT and Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase
App Provides Mobile Access to GAYOT.com's 8th Annual Restaurant Issue
NEW YORK, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Travora Media, the leading digital media company in travel, has brought two of its media partners together, GAYOT and Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase, to introduce the first mobile app for GAYOT. The free app allows consumers for the first time to access GAYOT.com's Annual Restaurant Issue, including the highly anticipated Top 40 Restaurants in the U.S. list, from their mobile devices.
The app will bring GAYOT's Restaurant Issue to the hands of consumers who were previously only able to access this information on their desktops. Travora Media, partner to more than 300 travel publishers with strong advertiser relationships across both travel and lifestyle categories, brought together each of the brands to drive the creation of the mobile app with Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase as the exclusive sponsor.
The app, available for iPhone and iPad, showcases the best and most highly rated restaurants in the U.S., the "Top 10 New Restaurants in the U.S.," "Top 10 Steakhouses in the U.S." and more, along with access to exclusive video interviews with chefs and GAYOT.com reviews by the international team of renowned critics. It allows mobile users to make reservations as well as share details and reviews about a particular restaurant via e-mail, Twitter and Facebook.
"Travora Media is focused on bridging brand fragmentation across media devices so that content and information is accessible to consumers everywhere," said Nan Forte, CEO of Travora. "As 1 of every 3 mobile searches is for a restaurant, GAYOT is a natural fit for the mobile space, and we immediately thought of Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase for the exclusive sponsorship opportunity. They were looking for a cross-platform program to message on-the-go business travelers and promote their rewards perks. By bringing these two partners together, they are able to mutually build off one another's brand."
In addition to the mobile and tablet apps, the sponsorship also includes branded ads across the GAYOT.com site and the Restaurant Issue newsletter pages, as well as a sponsored custom video series with Sophie Gayot, named "one of America's finest food critics" by star chef Gordon Ramsay. "Interviews with chefs have always been exciting for me, and I'm thrilled to bring this content to emerging platforms," said Sophie Gayot. "More than just farm to table, we can now say we're bringing food experiences to mobile devices. We are committed to offering our fans and foodies everywhere a complete, 360-degree view. Our partnership with Travora to create this mobile app has helped us achieve this."
The app with all associated content is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store. GAYOT.com's Restaurant Issue and accompanying "Top Lists" can also be found at http://www.gayot.com.
