Travel Advantage Network Raises Over $15,000 Through Corporate Charity Program in 2015
Company set to surpass this figure in 2016 through a program which encourages employees to organize fundraising opportunities for local and national charities
MILLERSVILLE, Md., Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vacation accommodations provider Travel Advantage Network has preserved their culture of charitable giving by continuing their widely successful monthly charity program in 2016. The program, which has been running continuously since 2002, empowers employees to select a charity on a monthly basis and lead efforts to raise funds for their chosen organization. The program raised a record $15,142 in donations in 2015 alone and has raised over $12,000 as of August of this year.
"Corporate giving should be a staple in the business world," said Brad Callahan, Owner and Chief Executive Officer. "With so many outstanding causes and charities out there, it didn't seem right to focus our corporate efforts to a select few. Instead, we have made an impact on well over 100 charities since our program was initiated."
Fundraising efforts for 2016 have benefited the 100 Club of Anne Arundel County, Mended Little Hearts of Greater Baltimore, Almost Heaven Rescue and Sanctuary, Success in Style and the Lupus Foundation.
Travel Advantage Network's unique program is designed to not only give back to the community but also foster a corporate culture of giving. At the beginning of each month, a Travel Advantage Network employee selects a charity of their choice and then spearheads company-wide fundraising efforts for the charity throughout the month.
