BALTIMORE, March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Transamerica will host a webinar for financial professionals, consultants and third party administrators that addresses various facets of the pending U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Fiduciary Rule and its potential impact on those in the financial services industry. The webinar will be held March 30 at 12 p.m., EDT.
The webinar, "A Fresh Perspective on the DOL Regulations," will examine ways the DOL rule could potentially help financial professionals generate and retain business, along with analyzing the rule's impact on the business models for third party administrators and investment advisors.
The webinar's featured speaker is Ilene Ferenczy, a nationally recognized thought leader in the qualified retirement plan arena, and managing partner of Ferenczy Benefits Law Center, an employee benefits law firm in Atlanta. As the author of "Employee Benefits in Mergers and Acquisitions," in its 17th edition, as well as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Pensions Benefits, Ferenczy is well versed in the practical challenges faced by employers and fiduciaries, third party administrators, and investment advisors and managers in the retirement plan sector.
The webinar is the latest installment of the Transamerica Practice Management Forum, an educational series designed to offer practical commentary from a diverse group of subject matter experts. The webinar will be approximately one hour in length, with time for questions and answers.
"Transamerica is dedicated to the success of our financial professionals, and with all the uncertainty they face related to the pending DOL regulations, we think this webinar will provide valuable insight," said Deb Rubin, senior vice president of TPA channel development and distribution for Transamerica. "We are pleased to welcome Ilene Ferenczy as our guest speaker. Having become an attorney after having worked for more than 10 years as a third party administrator, Ilene is certain to bring a unique and practical perspective to the subject matter."
