Tradeshow Marketing Company Announces Its Second DRTV Product - The g-Spout(R) Household Utensil
Secures $100,000 Initial Order from Catalog Distributor
BELLEVUE, WA, May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - The Tradeshow Marketing Company, Ltd. (Pink Sheets: TSHO), a direct sales company that represents and markets unique consumer products in direct response TV (DRTV) shows and trade show demonstrations, today announced a worldwide exclusive marketing, distribution and license agreement for the company's second DRTV product, the g-Spout(R) household utensil. The g-Spout household utensil is a patent-pending multi-purpose utensil for straining, pouring and preparing food that easily attaches to a skillet, double boiler or bowl.
"We are very excited to include the g-Spout in the Tradeshow Marketing family of products with its high consumer appeal," said Luniel de Beer, President and CEO of Tradeshow Marketing. "The g-Spout inventors have established a loyal base of satisfied customers, and they are ready to take the next step and move the product to a direct response television environment. To that end, infomercial production is under way through our partner, Cesari Direct, and we are currently planning the initial multi-week test campaign, which we expect to be launched by the end of May."
The g-Spout was originally developed to encourage the environmentally responsible disposal of cooking grease and oil, and to help eliminate clogged drains, so it was originally referred to as the "grease spout." Customers quickly found many additional uses for the g-Spout including making cupcakes, muffins, and pancakes without drips or baked on batter; drizzling chocolate and caramel from a double boiler; pouring paint back into containers; straining fruit salad, vegetables or rice; pouring sugar, salt or coffee; a multitude of arts and crafts needs; as well as straining hot bacon or hamburger grease into disposable containers rather than down the sink where it can lead to expensive and time-consuming clogged drains. Made of high-temperature food-grade silicone, the g-Spout is microwave and dishwasher safe.
As a part of bringing the g-Spout to market, Tradeshow negotiated a $100,000 order with a well-established catalog sales company. Tradeshow expects to recognize the revenue associated with this initial order in the company's fiscal first and second quarters of fiscal 2011, ending August 31 and November 30, 2010, respectively.
"By obtaining the worldwide exclusive rights to g-Spout, we have an opportunity to expand our product sales on an international basis beyond our core North American markets, which may also serve as a possible catalyst for additional opportunities for Tradeshow's business in the future," said de Beer. "We are pleased to not only announce the product agreement, but also the additional steps that were undertaken during these past few months, during which we were bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, to secure the initial product order and to start producing the infomercial, accelerating our time to market with the g-Spout product."
