Total Slaughter Battle Rap Event From Eminem's Shady Films and WatchLOUD.com on Pay-Per-View, July 12
iN DEMAND to Distribute Live Event and On Demand Replay Exclusively on Cable Systems and Online
NEW YORK, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Electus Digital announced today that the upcoming rap battle event, Total Slaughter, will air as a special Pay-Per-View (PPV) telecast. Set to take place on Saturday, July 12 at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, Total Slaughter will feature the hottest MCs in the country as they compete on the biggest stage in the history of battle rap. Co-produced by Eminem's Shady Films and Electus Digital's WatchLOUD.com, Total Slaughter will be available live on cable PPV and online, and via On Demand (cable and online) following the event, through distributor iN DEMAND.
Total Slaughter will deliver three hours of intense competition and performance at the highest level of battle rap, including two highly-anticipated headlining battles: a long-awaited rematch between Loaded Lux and Murda Mook, and a face-off between Hollow Da Don and Shady Records' own platinum-selling artist Joe Budden. Undercard contenders for Total Slaughter will be determined by the competition reality series Road to Total Slaughter, currently airing on FUSE and WatchLOUD.com.
Battle rap fans everywhere can watch the Total Slaughter event live on cable PPV and online at 8:00pm ET on July 12, and On Demand following the event through cable and online from July 13 to 26. The event is $19.95.* PPV is through iN DEMAND cable affiliates across North America and the Caribbean, and can be ordered online for PC, Mac, and both Apple and Android mobile devices at www.TotalSlaughter.tv.
Daniel Catullo, President and CEO of The City Drive, will direct the Total Slaughter live event, which will be executive produced by Ben Silverman, Drew Buckley, Evan Bregman and Montrel McKay of Electus, and Paul Rosenberg and Marshall Mathers of Shady Films. This will mark the debut event from the Total Slaughter rap battle league, which was formed earlier this year by Eminem's Shady Films and Shady Records super-group, Slaughterhouse.
"We are really happy to bring Total Slaughter into the homes of millions of fans through this deal," says Paul Rosenberg, President of Shady Records and Shady Films. "This will be a game-changing event and having iN DEMAND as our Pay-Per-View partner provides us with the opportunity to expose competitive battle rap to a much larger audience and raise the profile of the sport, which is exactly what we've set out to do."
Tickets to attend Total Slaughter in NYC are available through Ticketmaster. For more information and updates on the Total Slaughter league and event, please visit www.WatchLOUD.com and www.ShadyRecords.com.
