Tidemark Readies for Next Breakthrough in Awareness by Appointing Silicon Valley Veteran Caroline Japic as Chief Marketing Officer
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tidemark, the cloud-based enterprise analytics company, today announced that Caroline Japic, a 20-year Silicon Valley marketing veteran, has joined the company as chief marketing officer.
Japic will shepherd Tidemark's efforts to educate business leaders about how its cloud-based solutions are transforming the way companies engage in financial and operational planning and analysis. She is responsible for Tidemark's marketing strategy and execution, from demand generation, branding and communications, to all efforts at marketing directly to customers, partners and the field team.
"Once finance and operations executives discover how we can help them shrug off the limitations of legacy enterprise applications, they immediately lock onto Tidemark," said Christian Gheorghe, founder and CEO, Tidemark. "Telling that story to a large, growing audience in ways that truly resonate requires creativity, finesse and experience, and that's precisely what Caroline brings to our executive team. In Caroline we're getting someone who takes the best practices of marketing, and leveraging the voice of the customer, turns them into original and effective trajectories. Caroline's results speak for themselves."
Japic comes to Tidemark from Bunchball, where she created a lean yet powerful marketing organization that, among other achievements, built a high performance demand generation engine that surpassed targets by more than 4X. She also championed and led Bunchball's effort to write and publish Loyalty 3.0: How to Revolutionize Customer and Employee Engagement with Big Data and Gamification, which became a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best seller. Combined with an aggressive PR and promotional campaign, the book helped turn the company into a globally-known brand.
Prior to Bunchball, Japic increased awareness and visibility of Taleo as its vice president of corporate communications and customer insight strategy – an effort that culminated in the company's acquisition by Oracle. She has also held senior marketing positions at Polycom, Hyperion, Silicon Graphics, Vitria and TIBCO.
"I've joined a company that leading analysts have called unique, visionary and cool," said Japic. "Tidemark is changing how people work, and helping organizations realize how to transform finance into a disruptive force and an essential competitive weapon."
