WASHINGTON, Jan. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Thycotic, a provider of privileged account management (PAM) and endpoint protection solutions for more than 7,500 organizations worldwide, today announced the release of Secret Server v10.1, a release focused on larger global enterprises. The latest version of its flagship solution includes SSH Key Rotation & Management, IBM z/OS Mainframe Integration, Access Approval for Reports and Recordings, and other UI improvements.
Secret server enables organizations of all sizes to store, distribute, change and audit enterprise passwords in a secure environment. Additional enhancements available in Secret Server v10.1 include:
- SSH Key Rotation & Management – As organizations of all sizes are looking for ways to securely manage access to their Unix endpoints, Thycotic has added SSH Key Management to Secret Server. SSH Key management moves the storage of the Private key from the user's, potentially vulnerable, local machine, and stores that key in Secret Server encrypted and with all the security controls implemented for accessing Secret Server. Secret Server can also generate new key pairs and rotate the public keys on Unix/Linux endpoints.
- Mainframe Integration – Organizations that are processing large amounts of data will have purchased mainframes, and will need to secure those mainframes. Secret Server will now be able to manage and rotate RACF password for IBM z/OS mainframes. Additionally, with a central location, mainframe administrators can gain efficiencies in managing their mainframes from a central access point. This feature will be included in the Premium license and available as an Add-On for Professional licenses.
- Access Approval for Reports and Recordings – This new feature, available standard for Professional and Premium licenses, includes a Dual Control access process within Secret Server, along with full audit/reporting history on who viewed and approved access for which sessions or reports. Thycotic added this for organizations that have international presence and stronger security control requirements on reviewing reports and recordings to ensure strong data protection of individual people.
In addition to the enterprise ready enhancements to Secret Server, Thycotic's second flagship product, Privilege Manager for Windows, will be going through some additional useability improvements to the UI.
"Secret Server continues to be the fastest to deploy, and easiest to use, enterprise password management vault on the market today," said Ben Yoder, Product Manager at Thycotic. "Our focus on helping larger global enterprises meet their security requirements is a high priority for us. We always want to listen to customer feedback of what they need out of our solutions – and this is exactly what we have done with Secret Server v10.1."
