TheLadders Redesigns Its Services To Power Real-Time Job Search
- New Products Reduce Friction, Accelerate Engagement Between Job Seekers and Recruiters -
NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, at its inaugural JobMobile Summit, job-matching giant TheLadders will establish itself as the leader in mobile recruitment by unveiling new features to its mobile app and website that amplify engagement between job seekers and recruiters. Leveraging matching, learning, and proprietary algorithms, TheLadders' technology reduces friction and facilitates the industry's quickest turnaround times in the job-search process. New features for job seekers include:
- Push notifications: receive notifications on their smartphones -- within seconds -- when new, relevant jobs are published.
- Activity feed: see how employers are interacting with their profiles via an activity feed that compiles all employer touch-points, such as profile views, resume downloads, ratings, and feedback.
- TheLadders Scout: view the current compensation, title, years of experience, educational background and areas of expertise of other job applicants on TheLadders (anonymized, of course, but enough to get a sense of the competition).
- Refined Search filters: use improved search filters to segment job matches by location, expertise, and industry.
The company's new mobile app, "Job Search by TheLadders," available for free on the App Store℠, is the latest achievement in its mobile-first, web-second strategy. Earlier this year, TheLadders launched its mobile-responsive site and introduced a national JobMobile event series to recognize and celebrate innovations in mobile recruitment.
"When it comes to the hiring process, speed, freshness and convenience become critically important for both job seekers and employers," said Alex Douzet, CEO and Co-founder of TheLadders. "While the recruitment industry has been slow to adopt mobile technology – years behind other industries – one in five job searches is being conducted on a mobile device, the most intuitive solution for today's job-search needs."
A recent study revealed that resumes submitted more than 72 hours after a job listing publishes are 50 percent less likely to be reviewed than ones submitted within the first three days. However, as evidenced by the company's mobile white paper, job seekers already recognize the importance of immediacy in today's competitive job market, as one in five searches are conducted on mobile devices, and 86 percent of job seekers who have a smartphone would use it to search for a job if convenient options were available. Now, the onus is on employers to build mobile-optimized platforms to avoid missing out on the best talent.
"Job Search by TheLadders" is now available exclusively on the App Store. Additional information about feature updates can be found at TheLadders.com/mobile.
