The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the Charlotte Market for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, CEO and Founder, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at The Logan Hotel's Commons Lounge and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including City Tap House and Fogo de Chao.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Kevin Kucharski, Betsy Paulk, Wes Payne, Elizabeth Shomo joining the Firm.

Kevin Kucharski
Kevin joins the Charlotte Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried with a background primarily in the financial services industry. Previously, Kevin was a Complex Pricing Financial Analyst for Citi, focusing on the valuation of derivatives, before joining Rothstein Kass. While employed there, Kevin gained valuable experience as an auditor of alternative investments with a primary focus in the hedge funds industry. Rothstein Kass was acquired by KPMG during the summer of 2014, where he continued to gain Big 4 audit experience in hedge funds and banking. He earned his Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from High Point University.

Kevin is a performance-focused professional with well-rounded experience in the financial services industry. His innovative and quick-start approach to solving complex problems, coupled with his desire to elevate his team members' success, make him a unique player in the workplace. Kevin says, "The opportunity to assist clients from various industries on challenging projects with other dedicated and intelligent colleagues is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

During his free time, Kevin can be found working on his handicap or enjoying other sports ranging from basketball, soccer, racquetball and running or hiking with his dog. Kevin also enjoys meeting new people while traveling and networking with people whenever possible. He plans to continue this while at The Siegfried Group as he explores new corners of the Carolinas.

Betsy Paulk
Betsy is an exceptional accounting and finance professional who joins the Charlotte Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from PwC, where she gained three years of tax experience and approximately four years of financial consulting experience with a primary focus in the banking industry. She received her Bachelors in Accounting from The University of Tennessee and her Masters in Accounting from Kennesaw State University.

Betsy's commitment to building relationships and gaining full understanding of each situation instills trust in her team and the client. Betsy says, "The opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of roles and industries in order to build her professional and technical skillset is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In her free time, Betsy enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog. She is a huge University of Tennessee fan and likes to stay active and be outside. She loves to explore the new restaurants and breweries in Charlotte as well as making trips to the Carolina beaches and mountains. 

Wes Payne, CPA
Wes is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Charlotte Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Grant Thornton, where he gained four years of audit experience with a primary focus in the manufacturing industry. He received his Bachelors in Finance and his Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University.

Wes' insight and proactive communication approach, coupled with his desire to provide powerful solutions to his clients make him a strong asset for his team. Wes says, "The ability to adapt my skill set to the challenge at hand enables me to meet the needs of my client, brainstorm ways to solve issues and provide exceptional, results-oriented work."

In his free time, Wes stays active through traveling, playing sports and reading. He loves to go fly fishing and deep sea fishing and finds time to go camping and hiking whenever he has a chance. He spends as much time as possible in the mountains and loves to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the summer and fall.

Elizabeth B. Shomo, CPA
Elizabeth is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Charlotte Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from RSM US LLP (formerly McGladrey LLP), where she gained five years of audit experience with a primary focus in the not for profit industry. She received her Bachelors in Accounting from George Mason University as well as her Bachelors in Business Administration from Elon University.  

Elizabeth's commitment, flexibility and mental agility allow her to take on any challenge that comes her way. Elizabeth says, "The accessibility to a multitude of projects while working along with people who are choosing and taking the same risks I am, is what drew me to be a part of Siegfried." 

In her free time, Elizabeth feeds the travel bug she acquired at an early age. She explores the area she is visiting whether it be hiking, snorkeling, skiing or sporting events. Coinciding with travel is the desire to explore local cuisines to broaden her kitchen repertoire. Her goal has been to tackle a new country each year. Elizabeth will continue to explore wherever her work travels take her.
