The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the Atlanta and Houston Markets for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, California. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, CEO and Founder, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at the Ritz Carlton's Upper Pool Terrace and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including La Vecchia Cucina and Cast & Plow.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Seun Awoye, Jocelyn Edel, Blaze Gries, Denton Poe and Morgan Wasser joining the Firm.

Seun Awoye

Seun joins the Atlanta Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from BDO and was at PwC prior. Seun gained a combined three plus years of audit experience in a variety of industries, including technology, telecommunication, manufacturing and retail. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting as well as his Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University.

Seun is a confident professional who exhibits the mental fortitude and analytical ability to consistently deliver exceptional service to his clients. He prides himself on building great professional rapport with his teams and maintaining these genuine relationships. The synergy that he builds with his clients allow him to truly understand their needs to deliver meaningful results. Seun says, "The challenge of ever changing project assignments in an eclectic work environment, along with a unique business model, is what attracted me to Siegfried." 

In his free time, Seun stays active through sports and fitness. He has an eleven year old son who loves playing soccer which also helps Seun to stay active. He is a sports and news junkie with either ESPN or a news channel consistently on his TV.

Jocelyn Edel, CPA

Jocelyn is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Atlanta Market as a Senior Associate. She comes to Siegfried from Deloitte, where she gained four years of audit experience with a primary focus in the retail and manufacturing industries. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Oregon and her Masters in Financial Analysis from Portland State University.

Jocelyn is able to seamlessly integrate into any team, as her positive attitude, personable demeanor and coaching ability make her an invaluable asset and allow her to add immense value. Jocelyn says, "The challenge of taking on new client projects and the variety of opportunities at a place that values their people is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In her free time, Jocelyn participates in various community service projects. She also enjoys football, exploring Atlanta, decorating her new home along with all things arts and crafts related. 

Blaze Gries, CPA

Blaze is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Houston Market as a Senior Manager. He comes to Siegfried from Calvetti Ferguson, where he gained experience in the energy and oil and gas sectors. Previously, he spent six years at BKD focusing on manufacturing and energy clients, and five years at KPMG working in the Manufacturing and Distribution group. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accountancy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

Blaze's problem solving mentality and intuitive nature enable him to support the team and bring out the best in both the people and the environment. Blaze says, "The unique opportunities Siegfried presents are similar to what I have worked on that brought out my best work previously, and I truly enjoy serving the client and supporting their objectives."

Go Chicago and Illini! Blaze is an avid and passionate sports fan, wearing his team on his sleeve in all sports, often experiencing heartbreak and never wavering in his support. He also enjoys volunteering with animal rescue organizations and playing golf as often as possible. He loves travel and often picks his vacations based on random things, including visits to each of the past three cities of Super Bowl winners.  

Denton Poe, CPA

Denton is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Houston Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from EY, where he gained four years of audit experience with a primary focus in the retail industry. He received his BBA in Accounting and his Masters of Accountancy from Baylor University.

Denton brings a strong work ethic and excellent precision which is displayed in his daily performance and contributes to his consistently high quality work product. Denton says, "Gaining valuable experience in a variety of roles and industries is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In his free time, Denton enjoys anything sports-related. He is an avid Baylor supporter and loves to travel back to his alma mater for football games and tailgates. In addition, Denton enjoys networking and being around people. He also enjoys a good brunch and considers it to be the best meal of the week.  

Morgan Wasser

Morgan is an exceptional Professional who joins the Houston Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from BlueLine Rentals, where she gained a year of exposure to month-end close, restructuring, centralization, creation of accounting functions and preparation for a potential IPO. She also spent time with Grant Thornton, where she gained three years of audit experience in various industries. She received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Texas State University and her Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Morgan's perceptive approach to problem-solving, coupled with her unique ability to switch between taking an analytical view and emotionally connecting to her team and clients, makes her a distinctive player in the workplace. Morgan says, "The opportunity to make valuable contributions for different clients in challenging situations is one of the many reasons why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In her free time, Morgan enjoys finding new ways to stay active. She currently enjoys Crossfit, mountain biking, and running with her dog. She plans to maintain her active lifestyle wherever her work travels take her.
