Due to Firm Growth and Added Leadership Opportunities, Siegfried Appoints New Professionals to Take Part in the Director-Explore Program
WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP is proud to announce the addition of eleven new Professionals to join the second class of Siegfried's Director-Explore program. This opportunity is due to the Firm's continued success and growth. The Director- Explore program is one step in a multiple year intensive track towards becoming a Managing Director. This group will take part in a boot camp program, where they are immersed in sales trainings led by Rob Siegfried, CEO and Founder, as well as other members of Senior Leadership, and learn first-hand about Siegfried's leadership advisory and sales efforts. Successful members of this group, who have a mutual belief that they should continue the process, will go on to become Market Associates and will support the markets in the areas of business development and recruiting. The next several steps in the program will enable these Professionals to concentrate more of their time on providing leadership advisory and talent delivery services to clients and prospects. Siegfried would like to congratulate this new group, and wish them the best as they take on this new and challenging role.

Lauren M. Castellon - Lauren joined the Firm as a Professional Resource in the Washington, D.C. Market in 2013. Her passion for building relationships, drive to continuously challenge herself, and interest in the Firm's unique business model is what attracted her to the Director-Explore program. She is most excited about expanding her skills outside of technical accounting and also to interact with the Leadership Teams. According to Lauren, "I have been very fortunate in my time as a Professional Resource and each step of that experience has encouraged my desire to pursue a leadership role. I am simply honored and grateful for the chance to participate in such an innovative program. I am energized for the opportunity ahead and cannot wait to begin this journey!"
Prior to joining the Firm, Lauren was an Assurance Senior Associate at ParenteBeard, LLC with a specialization in the practice areas of Manufacturing, Distribution & Technology, as well as, Employee Benefit Plans. Originally from Philadelphia, Lauren received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University.
Jesse Cox - Jesse joined the Firm in 2013 as a Professional Resource and later on became Team Leader. He now joins the Philadelphia Metro Leadership team as part of the Director-Explore program. Jesse is a confident professional with a motivated approach to problem solving. His superior leadership skills, coupled with a unique ability to create chemistry, enables a uniformed approach to collaboration. "I am excited for the Director-Explore program because it will highlight key elements of my experience and refocus them towards the goal of developing strategic relationships for the Firm. I am motivated for the challenges that lie ahead and feel confident that this process will fortify my abilities and enhance my character."
He started his career at Pretty & Landis as a Staff Accountant and then went on to work for McGladrey & Pullen as a Senior Audit Associate. He also spent time at Versa Capital Management as an Accounting Manager. Prior to coming to Siegfried, Jesse started his own business called YOAL ink, LLC which is a custom digital apparel print and eCommerce business serving both Louisville, KY and Philadelphia, PA. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN where he received both his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Business Administration.
Sean Maffei, CPA, CGMA - Sean joined the Firm in 2013 as a Professional Resource and later went on to become a Team Leader. He now joins the New York Metro Leadership Team as part of the Director-Explore program. His intuitive nature and superior communication skills allow him to immediately form lasting connections and take on any challenge. When asked about joining the Director-Explore class Sean said, "I couldn't be more excited to join the New York Leadership Team. It is an excellent opportunity to expand my professional skillset and it speaks volumes about the commitment our Firm has towards talent development. In this new role, I look forward to learning from our experienced leaders and continuing to contribute to the Firm's success."
He came to Siegfried from Deloitte where he began his career as a Senior Auditor. Sean attended Bentley University where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Global Management Accountant.
Michael Piecuch, CPA, CMA, MBA - Michael joined Siegfried in 2014 as a Professional Resource and now joins the Los Angeles Market's Leadership Team. "Siegfried's strong reputation and entrepreneurial spirit were the primary selling points in my desire to join the Firm, and my experience thus far has only solidified my high opinion of the company. I am very eager to be a part of the Director-Explore program and begin my journey in leadership!"
Prior to joining the Firm, Michael was the Accounting and Finance Manager for a start-up supply chain management company. Michael received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and International Business from the University of Manitoba and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Portland State University.
Anthony Rosenblum, CPA – Anthony joined Siegfried in August of 2015 in the Detroit Market, to be part of the second class of the Director-Explore program. When asked about his participation in the program, he said, "I am thrilled, not only to be a part of the second Director-Explore class, but to be joining The Siegfried Group. My passion has always been people, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships while representing such a strong organization is a truly exciting one. I am happy to be a part of an atmosphere so dedicated to personal and professional development, and I look forward to contributing my own talents and helping with the continued growth of both the Firm and other Siegfried Professionals."
Prior to coming to Siegfried, Anthony was the Chief Financial Officer for Miller Parking Services in Detroit. He started his career at EY as a Staff Auditor and then went on to become a Senior Auditor. He attended both the University of Virginia, where he earned his Masters of Accountancy, and Alma College, where he obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration and Exercise and Health Science.
Jake Safarik, CPA, CA - Jake joined Siegfried's NorCal Market in early 2015 as Professional Resource and now is a member of the Director-Explore program. Jake finds it "extremely exciting to be working alongside such high-quality, energetic and motivated Professionals that continue to bring out the best in you." The challenges and development opportunities brought forth by the Director-Explore program were a major draw for him and he looks forward to discovering new ways to expand and better utilize his network to contribute to the Firm's continued growth.
Prior to joining Siegfried Jake worked at Smythe Ratcliffe PKF, a mid-size accounting firm in Vancouver, BC and most recently completed a one-year Secondment in Vienna, Austria. Jake received his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Montreal.
Ben Skaggs – Ben joined the Firm in 2014 as a Professional Resource in the Charlotte Market and now joins the second class of Siegfried's Director-Explore program. He loves implementing bold action to produce exceptional results, and looks forward to taking on the challenges that this program will bring. According to Ben, "The most exciting part of joining the second class of the Director-Explore program, is the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships, while simultaneously supporting the Charlotte Market and advancing the Siegfried brand. I'm very excited to start this new part of my journey!"
Prior to coming to Siegfried, Ben spent three years as an Audit Senior with Deloitte. He attended Bob Jones University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Vickie Schmuker - Vickie joined the Firm in 2011 as a Professional Resource and later went on to become the Professional Resource Director for Chicago and Cleveland. She now joins the Chicago Market as part of the Director-Explore program. Vickie is excited to learn about the business development side of Siegfried and to continue growing her network. "As I have had many different roles during my years with Siegfried, I now have the chance to expand again into new areas of the business while still embracing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Firm."
Before coming to Siegfried, Vickie was a Manager at KPMG in their Baton Rouge office. She began her career at Jean Luedtke and Associates as a Staff Accountant. Vickie earned her B.A. in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
Catherine Tran, MSA – Catherine joined Siegfried in 2015 and currently is part of the Director-Explore class in the Boston Market. She is excited about the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in her new role. According to Catherine, "Siegfried's relationship-based culture and unique business model was what attracted me to the company initially. Now that I have started working with the Firm, I can confirm it is all of those things and more! This new role is an exciting challenge and growth opportunity for me. I cannot wait to learn more about and contribute to the Boston Market."
Prior to joining the Firm, Catherine was a Senior Financial Analyst at Cabot Corporation. She has also previously worked with KPMG. Catherine received her Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University and her Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University.
Erica Vandell, CPA – Erica joined Siegfried in 2013 as a Professional Resource, and quickly rose to the position of Team Leader through her exceptional performance and dedication to the Firm. She looks forward to continuing to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment as part of the Director-Explore program for the Short Hills Market. According to Erica, "My passion is people and any opportunity I get to help others, I always take advantage of that. I am excited to take on this challenging role, as I always strive to push myself out of my comfort zone. I'll definitely have the chance to do what I love most on a daily basis... work with all different types of people!"
Prior to joining the Firm, Erica worked as a Senior Accountant for ContiCo Corporation, and as an Assurance Experienced Associate for PwC. She received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University.
Tiffany Watts, CPA – Tiffany was a Professional Resource with Siegfried from 2011 until 2012. She spent the past few years working for companies such as DCP Midstream. She now returns to Siegfried's Denver Market to take part in the second class of the Director-Explore program. According to Tiffany, "I'm excited to be part of the Director-Explore program because I believe it will be a fun, new challenge for me personally, will give me the opportunity to come back to a great Firm to work with great people and will enhance my skills to better develop personal relationships and help people solve problems."
Tiffany comes to Siegfried from Grant Thornton where she served as an Audit Senior Manager for nine years, and an Associate for four years, working in both their Denver and Cincinnati offices. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Masters and Bachelors in Accounting.
