The Results Are in and They Are Anything But "Ugly"
DALLAS, Jan. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeVestors, the professional home buying franchise network that is the number one buyer of houses in the United States, closed out another banner year by recognizing the outstanding achievements of its nationwide network of independently owned and operated franchisees. From rising stars to rookies of the year, co-presidents Ken Channell and David Hicks singled out the best, most improved, and those who exceeded the company's expectations during a year when even meeting expectations seemed implausible.
"As another year comes to a close, we find it important to recognize the relentless dedication and extraordinary achievements of our franchisees," said HomeVestors' co-president Ken Channell. "Without their commitment to excellence we would not continue to thrive as the industry's most trusted homebuyer."
This year's most prestigious award went to Don Cameron with Hi-Land Properties, LLC earning him the distinction of Franchise of the Year, an award that recognizes the franchise that has consistently built the best business structure and has performed over and beyond expectation every year since beginning its franchise. Hi-Land Properties is in what many would consider one of the nation's toughest markets, Southern Florida. Operating from West Palm Beach, Cameron's franchise purchased 28 percent more homes in 2011 than the previous year. Hi-Land Properties, LLC nearly doubled its sales volume from 4.8 million last year to 8.3 million this year.
Receiving the equally coveted Rookie of the Year Award was the team of Moe Matthews and Steve Kimler, co-owners of Fresh Start Property, LLC Solutions in Richmond, Virginia. This honor is especially remarkable because the first year in the professional home buying business is intensely challenging. Runner-up honors went to Brandon Smith and Bob and Dottie Spruce with S&S Texas Properties, LLC in Houston.
HomeVestors also recognized the company's Rising Stars, franchisees that increased their purchase closings from one year to the next. The following produced better results for the last two years: Charbel Abud and Lee Ramirez with Acquisitions Group, LLC in Dade County/Miami, FL, Chas Carrier with C&C Residential Properties Inc. in Dallas, TX, Rich Morgan with HomeBuyers of Wilmington, LLC, Bucky and Marci King with King & King Acquisitions, Inc. in Tulsa, OK, Jim and Jeanne Wiley and Bill and Robin McKenna with Wiley Properties, LLC in Wharton, NJ, and Jeremy Gavin and Aaron Katz with WinWin Properties, LLC in Boston. Recipients producing more purchase closings every year for three consecutive years included Donald Cameron with Hi-Land Properties, LLC and Wes Donovan, Eric Fales, and Robert Kirwan with WERREG, LLC in Richmond, VA
Rounding out 2011's achievements, the company honored Top Closers and the Most Improved Offices. The Top Closer awards were presented to the franchisees that closed on the most properties during the convention year. 2011's Top Closer is C&C Residential Properties, Inc. owner, Chas Carrier from Dallas. Carrier has purchased 453 properties since joining HomeVestors, buying 92 of those properties this year alone. Second place honors went to the team from WFI Properties, Inc. in Houston, who since joining in fall of 2004 have managed to purchase 549 properties and own a rental portfolio of over 300 properties. The Most Improved Office award, given to the franchise that demonstrates the most dramatic business improvements during the convention year, based on region, went to Creative Investments, LLC in Springfield, MO, Kelpat Investments, Inc., in St. Louis, and Wiley Properties. LLC in Wharton, NJ.
Said co-president David Hicks, "The continued success of our network of franchisees builds confidence in our services, training, and the overall effectiveness of our business model."
