ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) has named Dr. Pim Suwannarat Chief of the Department of Genetics. The department provides genetic consultation for Kaiser Permanente members in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
Dr. Suwannarat joins MAPMG from Kaiser Permanente Northern California, where she was part of the Genetics Department at the San Francisco Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. Dr. Suwannarat helped establish the cardiovascular genetics and neurogenetics clinics at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, in addition to participating in regional metabolic, craniofacial and neurofibromatosis clinics. "I'm thrilled to join MAPMG and to provide care to Kaiser Permanente members in the Mid-Atlantic," said Dr. Suwannarat.
