The Master Lock Company Completes Global Headquarters Move To Support Long-Term Growth Strategies

MILWAUKEE, May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Master Lock Company, a global leader in security and safety solutions, today announced its completed global headquarters relocation to a newly renovated campus at 6744 Howell Avenue in Oak Creek, Wis. The move is part of a strategic initiative to grow its successful core padlock and personal safe business and to position the company as a global leader in digital and electro-mechanical innovation.

The newly renovated 120,000-square-foot building will house an industrial design studio, electronic lab, software lab, prototype lab and quality lab that includes the latest technology and equipment investments. Each room was specifically designed and equipped for continued product innovation and to attract leading talent. The campus also features 26+ acres with two interconnected buildings, walking paths, a 250-person amphitheater, conference rooms, call center with technology enhancements for stronger customer and consumer support, an on-site cafeteria and locker room with showers.

The headquarters will initially house approximately 400 associates with capacity for up to 480. While the company will seek to fill positions across all core functions, it seeks to bolster positions in engineering, product design, software development and innovation, and will hire for these roles throughout the year. The company is currently hiring to fill 41 open positions—25 in the Oak Creek headquarters and 16 in its Milwaukee-based manufacturing facility. The new building is near Oak Creek's commercial center and just 10 miles from downtown Milwaukee. It is conveniently located just two miles from General Mitchell International Airport, an Amtrak Station and steps from local public transportation.
