The Hello Kitty for President Campaign Announces Support of the Red Cross & 826DC
TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing the Friendship Party's spirit of friendship & giving, Sanrio and the 'Hello Kitty for President' Campaign are proud to announce their support of the American Red Cross response to disasters such as Hurricane Sandy by making a donation to Hurricanes 2012. Sanrio will donate 100% of net proceeds from sales in the pop up shop at Hello Kitty's campaign headquarters. The pop up shop will offer collectible Hello Kitty for President political memorabilia including t-shirts, plush, key chains, signature 'bows' and much more. The Hello Kitty Campaign headquarters and pop-up shop will be open November 1-6 at LivingSocial's 918 F Street in Washington, DC.
The Hello Kitty for President campaign will also continue to support 826DC, the Washington DC chapter of the 826 National network of nonprofit creative writing centers. Donations will include proceeds from the sale of presidential themed Hello Kitty cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake (locations nationwide and online at http://www.georgetowncupcake.com) as well as the sale of a specially designed 826 t-shirt.
