The Health Care Compliance Association Announces 2011-2012 Officers and New Members of Its Board of Directors
MINNEAPOLIS, April 29, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) the nation's leading association for health care compliance and ethics professionals, announced today its 2011-2012 HCCA Executive Committee, elected by the HCCA Board of Directors on April 9, 2011.

Frank Sheeder, JD, CCEP, a Partner in Jones Day's Health Care Law practice in Dallas, Texas will serve as President of the HCCA for a one-year term, commencing on May 1, 2011. Mr. Sheeder has been a member of HCCA Board of Directors since 2005 and previously served as the association's Vice President and 2nd Vice President.
Serving with Mr. Sheeder on the Executive Committee are:
--HCCA Vice President Shawn Y. DeGroot, CHC-F, CHRC, CCEP. Ms. DeGroot is Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Regional Health located in Rapid City, South Dakota.
--HCCA 2nd Vice President John C. Falcetano, CHC-F, CCEP-F, CHRC, CHPC, CIA. Mr. Falcetano is the Chief Audit & Compliance Officer for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina located in Greenville, North Carolina.
--HCCA Treasurer Gabriel Imperato, JD, CHC. Mr. Imperato is the Managing Partner of the Fort Lauderdale office of Broad and Cassel.
--HCCA Secretary Sara Kay Wheeler, JD. Ms. Wheeler is Partner, King & Spaulding, Atlanta, Georgia.
-- Immediate Past President Jennifer M. O'Brien, JD, CHC, CHPC. Ms. O'Brien is the Chief Medicare Compliance Officer and responsible for the oversight and compliance strategy for the UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
-- Non-Officer Board Member of the Executive Committee Sheryl Vacca, CHC-F, CHRC, CCEP, CHPC. Ms. Vacca is Senior Vice President/Chief Compliance and Audit Officer for the University of California.

In addition, Mr. Imperato was elected and Ms. Vacca was re-elected to the HCCA Board of Directors.
