The Green Umbrella Proudly Announces Special Olympics Miami-Dade As Beneficiary of Its "3 to 3 Program"
Subscription based program is a scalable hybrid of small business philanthropy and environmental sustainability.
MIAMI, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Green Umbrella (GU Business) incentivizes, certifies and promotes companies who make a pledge to become greener. GU, working with The National Arbor Day Foundation and Restaurant.com, has created a subscription based small business GREEN pledge program that plants trees monthly, supports local economy, provides digital advertising and now issues monthly financial allocations to The Florida Special Olympics. GU intends on creating an army of networked businesses pledging to plant monthly and facilitating millions of trees being planted over the next 5 years and tens of thousands of dollars donated to this initiative. National organizations such as AAA, Oxxo Care Cleaners, Stonegate Mortgage and local companies like Paintsquad Orlando, IQ Power, Artichoke Red Vegan Market, Blooming Flowers, Batch Miami and another 60 companies just like this have all made the pledge to become cleaner and greener.
The monthly allocations to Special Olympics Florida – Miami-Dade County will enable all companies large and small to be philanthropic and contribute to both human and environmental causes. With each monthly subscription GU will allocate 3% of net sales directly to Special Olympics, creating a scalable and sustainable philanthropy model. The Green Umbrella promotes small steps to educate on small changes that can contribute on a massive scale. Co-Founder Adam Wroblewski says: "We call this the 3 to 3 program: First, imagine 100,000 companies planting 3 trees a month. Now, imagine those same 100,000 companies contributing 3% of that monthly subscription to an amazing charity like Special Olympics. Not only can we plant millions of trees yearly but we can force change on a global scale."
The Green Umbrella caters to small businesses and provides services ranging from $9.99 to $199.99 and one tree to one hundred trees planted per month. The company has awarded a contract with The Brickell Media Group (BMG) out of Miami to scale this program across the country and create a unique and legitimate work from home business opportunity. It's the intention of GU to place 500 Ambassadors in the next 18 months facilitating green pledges from 1-5 new companies per month per area.
