The Greater Cleveland Flute Society Presents the Cleveland Composer's Connection Concert, Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.
CLEVELAND, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greater Cleveland Flute Society (GCFS) will present its final program of the 2012-2013 season this Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. This free program will be held at the First Unitarian Church of Cleveland, 21600 Shaker Boulevard, Shaker Heights, OH 44122.
The concert honors living composers with a connection to the Cleveland area who have written works featuring flute as the primary voice. The composers will introduce and discuss their works prior to their performance at the concert.
This year's program will feature works from seven composers. The compositions include works for solo flute, flute ensemble, flute and piano, and flute and percussion. This year's program features compositions by Alexandros Fragiskatos, Carolyn Gardner, Richard Rayer, William Rayer, Joseph Rebman, Steven Simpson, and Stephen Stanziano.
