The Dailey Method Asks Fitness Fans to "Donate Dailey" for Breast Cancer Support Services
Studios Nationwide to Offer Donation-Based Classes and Special Merchandise
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dailey Method, the globally celebrated barre workout, will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with nationwide donation-based classes that underscore its commitment to holistic health. Throughout the week of October 22, The Dailey Method will designate donation-based classes at 41 participating studios where money collected will benefit To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation and Bright Pink.
In addition, the organization will donate all proceeds from sales of specially created merchandise, including The Dailey Method special edition pink grip socks ($15) and Do It Dailey Pink Ribbon T's ($25).
"As a breast cancer survivor myself, I relied on The Dailey Method's focus on strengthening the mind and body and our supportive community while undergoing treatment," said Jill Dailey, founder. "Through these fundraising efforts, we're helping to fund crucial support services for people with breast cancer while reaffirming our commitment to whole health."
That whole-health principle is at the center of The Dailey Method workout, which, based on kinesiology and core alignment principles, combines ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching, and orthopedic exercises designed to strengthen, tone, lengthen and balance the entire body from the inside out.
Last year The Dailey Method built upon a longstanding commitment to supporting breast cancer awareness causes by offering fundraising classes and merchandise, raising $21,500 for the Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization and To Celebrate Life. Donate Dailey participating locations and class schedules can be found at www.thedaileymethod.com and at each participating studio.
