The CementBloc Wins CLIO Healthcare Bronze Award for Meningitis Consumer Disease Education
NEW YORK, Nov.14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The CementBloc received the Bronze Award for their Fresh Rhymes meningitis disease awareness brochure at the 3rd Annual CLIO Healthcare Awards, which took place at the historic Paris Theatre in New York City on November 10, 2011.
The Bronze Award was given in recognition of the agency's work for Novartis Vaccines on the Menveo (meningococcal vaccine) Fresh Rhymes disease education campaign. The innovative campaign was designed to increase the relevance of meningococcal meningitis to parents by introducing everyday risks (sharing water bottles or lip gloss, kissing, etc.) and connecting these everyday behaviors to the idea that their child is at risk for this very serious and potentially deadly disease, while emphasizing vaccination as the best way to help protect their child.
"The Fresh Rhymes campaign demonstrates our commitment to developing relevant and surprising DTC and patient education," said Elizabeth Elfenbein, Partner, Creative, at The CementBloc. "By challenging the myths and misperceptions about the spread of meningitis, we are encouraging parents and teens to consider protecting themselves from this serious disease."
