The Brandon Agency Names Wilson Lass as Partner Agency
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Brandon Agency and Wilson Lass today announced that The Brandon Agency has acquired Colorado-based Wilson Lass and will operate the agency in Breckenridge under the name Wilson Lass Brandon.
The acquisition is a result of The Brandon Agency seeking opportunities to grow beyond the East Coast and Wilson Lass' desire to broaden its scope of in-house resources. With its new partner agency, and recent acquisition of Ohio-based Benghiat Marketing & Communications, The Brandon Agency has increased its client base by 15 percent and has grown to more than 90 employees.
Founded in 1981 by Tony Wilson and Meg Lass, Wilson Lass is based in Breckenridge, Colo., and is known for its creative work for clients in the sports and recreation, hospitality, medical, real estate and resort industries. Its client list includes Breckenridge Ski Resort (a division of Vail Resorts Management Company), Rocky Mountain Vein Institute, The Summit Foundation and The Summit County Care Clinic.
Founded in 1959, The Brandon Agency is known for its work in the areas of hospitality, travel and tourism, luxury goods, consumer-packaged goods, real estate, business-to-business and healthcare. It has pioneered integrated marketing solutions that engage the consumer decision journey in a digital age. Employing advertising, public relations, interactive and social media, the agency places more digital media than any other agency within the Southeast. The South Carolina-based agency is headquartered in Myrtle Beach, with offices in Charleston, S.C., Charlotte, N.C., and Cleveland, Ohio.
"The Wilson Lass partnership helps us expand our presence beyond the East Coast and enter into new Western U.S. markets," said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency. "We look forward to collaborating with Wilson Lass' strong creative team on new and existing clients and projects within the region."
"With more than three decades of experience within the Rocky Mountain region, Wilson Lass has invaluable insight into the mountain culture and lifestyle for our clients and their consumers," said Meg Lass, principal of Wilson Lass. "This year, we reached a point where additional in-house resources would result in measurable benefits for our clients and we found the right partner in The Brandon Agency."
Also in November, The Brandon Agency acquired Benghiat Marketing & Communications, a Cleveland-based agency founded in 1983 that specialized in the consumer-packaged goods, business-to-business, medical device and food industry categories.
