The Bloc, Named Agency Of The Year, Sweeps Modern Healthcare's Impact Awards
NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bloc, known as much for social responsibility as for creative excellence, was honored as Agency of the Year by Modern Healthcare and Advertising Age at the Healthcare Marketing IMPACT Awards, held last Wednesday in Chicago, Illinois.
The Bloc not only won Agency of the Year, but swept the show with nine other wins: four Golds, two Silvers, and three Bronze awards.
The Bloc's outstanding work for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals was honored three times: "The Sneak" disease awareness campaign won a Gold for Audio Campaign of the Year and a Silver for Digital Campaign of the Year, and Regeneron's HCP program "Collective Focus" won a Bronze for Digital Campaign of the Year.
The Bloc also took home four awards for their innovative sharing platform, "Caregivers Speak Up," which won a Gold for Website Campaign of the Year, a Silver for Integrated Campaign of the Year, a Bronze for Social Media Campaign of the Year, and another Bronze for Digital Campaign of the Year.
Finally, The Bloc's HealthAwareNext platform was awarded two Golds in the Advocacy category: one for Digital Campaign of the Year and the other for Print Campaign of the Year.
The prestigious title of Agency of the Year is granted by the publishers of Modern Healthcare and Advertising Age to the agency that demonstrates "an ability to understand the complex issues related to our healthcare delivery system… and translate those into marketing campaigns that engage their target audience and positively impact the goals of their clients." In addition, the Agency of the Year must demonstrate "a culture and commitment to supporting healthcare causes within their community."
"It is particularly gratifying to be recognized for our culture," said Jennifer Matthews, Managing Partner. "The Bloc's commitment to our community is in our DNA. An example of this is Caregivers Speak Up, a social platform that gives voice to the selfless, often courageous people who are overlooked by our healthcare system. We have seen Caregivers Speak Up make a real difference in the lives of those who give so much of themselves in caring for others."
Elizabeth Elfenbein, Partner, Executive Creative Director, added, "Our Year of Disease Awareness is the first monthly social platform designed to inspire health-conscious actions in daily life. Every month, our creative teams are excited to lend their formidable talents to this great cause. We're delighted that IMPACT recognized The Bloc's unique combination of social responsibility and brilliant creative. This is a very important award for us."
"The Healthcare Marketing IMPACT Awards were created to recognize campaigns that promote the health of individuals and communities; advance efforts to deliver high quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare; and help organizations thrive and grow in today's rapidly changing healthcare environment. This year's winners went above and beyond in all these areas," shared Fawn Lopez, Vice President and Publisher of Modern Healthcare.
Winning entries will be featured in a special supplement to the November 14 issue of Modern Healthcare.
