The American Legion to hold a Veteran's Townhall and Audit of the Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center
INDIANAPOLIS, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Legion's System Worth Saving Task Force shall be conducting an audit of the Roudebush Veterans Affairs Hospital from 19-21 May as part of their nationwide review of Veterans Affairs Operations in response to allegations of misconduct in other Veterans Affairs Hospitals around the country.
There will be an open town hall meeting on May 19 at 7 p.m. at The American Legion Post #500 at 1926 N. Georgetown Road, Speedway IN 46224. All veterans and media are welcome to attend. The Town Hall Meeting is an opportunity for Indiana Veterans who are receiving VA care to discuss their care with Legion Task Force members as well as to assist them in their audit of the facility for later reporting to the National Commander of The American Legion.
Local and State-level American Legion leadership will also be present at the town hall meeting to help document the concerns of the veterans regarding the Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other Veterans Affairs centers within the state that may be brought to the American Legion's attention by the veterans.
