The American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey Announces New President
NEW YORK, March 27, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Sam Borek, Owner and Director of Woodmont Day Camp in New City, NY and Haworth, NJ resident, has been named President of the American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey. Borek will succeed Andy Pritikin, Owner, Director, and Founder of Liberty Lake Day Camp in Bordentown, NJ, and co-founder of Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA, in April 2017.
For 11 years, Sam Borek and his wife Ilisha have owned Woodmont Day Camp in New City in Rockland County. Prior to owning Woodmont, Sam worked full time as program director at Camp Laurel, a coed overnight camp in Maine. Sam has been involved in numerous aspects of the American Camp Association, NY and NJ for over 10 years. He has served on the American Camp Association, NY and NJ's board since 2010 and has worked on various ACA, NY & NJ committees, most recently with the Public Guidance Committee and spearheading the Fund Development Committee.
