The ADVERTISING Club Of New York Honors FedEx's Steve Pacheco As 2013 Advertising Person Of The Year
NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The ADVERTISING Club of New York, the industry's leading professional organization representing the vision and mission of the global advertising community across crafts, will honor Steve Pacheco, Managing Director of Advertising for FedEx, as the 2013 Advertising Person of the Year at a roast and toast cocktail event on November 13, 2013. Sponsored by Yahoo, the event will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Dream Hotel located in downtown New York.
Pacheco, an influential leader in the industry who has produced more than a dozen Super Bowl spots while at FedEx, will be recognized for his contributions to advertising through his ability to create powerful brand relationships that drive business results. Pacheco directs all corporate-wide media advertising and sponsorships for this Fortune 100 company, including a campaign centered around "FedEx. Solutions That Matter" that inspired people to look to FedEx for solutions that help them everyday. This platform shows customers what FedEx can do to help make their lives easier, beyond shipping packages.
Past Advertising Person of the Year recipient Esther Lee, SVP, Brand Marketing, Advertising & Sponsorships, AT&T, will present the award to Pacheco. Emcee Allison Fishman Task, Host of Yahoo's Blue Ribbon Hunter, will be accompanied by roasters and toasters Michael Duda, Co-founder, Consigliere; David Lubars, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, BBDO North America; John Osborn President & CEO, BBDO New York; and Laurie Tucker, SVP, Corporate Marketing, FedEx. The AD Club will present a scholarship to a deserving advertising, marketing, or communications student under Pacheco's name, with partial proceeds from this event earmarked for the scholarship.
