TGI Fridays® Partners with Conversable to Upgrade Online Experience, Offers 24/7 Social Media Interaction and Restaurant Reservations
A Good Time on Demand: Orders Placed on Fridays.com or Fridays Mobile App to Receive 20 Percent Off through October
DALLAS, Sept. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Let the good times scroll. TGI Fridays has always been a go-to destination for bringing people together over great food – and now the restaurant is ensuring that guest experience extends to online by unveiling a forward-thinking partnership with Conversable that will offer 24/7 interaction via Facebook Messenger and reservations in select restaurants.
In collaboration with Conversable, Fridays will now be able to address common guest questions – such as finding their nearest Fridays – and converse with the guest including emoji responses (in the form of Fridays well-known appetizers, naturally). Select restaurants will also offer online reservations via Facebook Messenger, a first for the casual dining industry.
Looking ahead to Fall 2016, Fridays will work with Conversable to expand its online reservations capabilities and also offer online orders via social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Kik. The Conversable partnership will also be leveraged in the coming months as a mechanism for ordering Fridays for delivery.
"Fridays has always been dedicated to giving our guests a great 'In Here, It's Always Friday' experience, and we are enhancing our digital capabilities to expand how and when we can give guests that experience," said Sherif Mityas, Vice President, Strategy and Brand Initiatives at TGI Fridays. "Partnering with Conversable allows us to be on the leading edge of restaurant technology, interacting with our guests on their favorite social media platforms and offering reservations, and eventually taking online orders for both pickup and delivery via those social channels."
Now through the end of October, Fridays is encouraging guests to experience its online ordering platform via the Fridays Mobile App or Fridays.com by offering 20 percent off all online orders with the code FRIDAYS20. While perusing the menu, visitors will find limited-time online exclusive items, including Everything But the Booze – a fresh concoction of mixers and garnishes allowing you to create your favorite mixed drink at home – and "Bucket Of" options for ordering favorite Fridays items like wings, meatballs and ribs in sharable quantities, just in time for game day. In addition, guests who place orders online through October 16 will receive double points in the brand's loyalty program, Fridays Rewards, and be entered in a sweepstakes to win $10,000.
"It's awesome for Conversable to partner with such a beloved and legacy brand like TGI Fridays. We are equally excited to help with Fridays strategic focus on the digitally connected future and millennials," said Ben Lamm, CEO and Co-Founder of Conversable.
To spotlight its new commitment to digital, Fridays will host the first Facebook Live "Happy Hour to Go" at the end of this month, streaming live from the headquarters in Dallas and featuring their world class bartenders, fresh off of the World Bartending Championship semi-final competition in Texas.
