Terry Naturally BCM-95 Curcumin Focus of American Botanical Council Monograph
Overview of phytochemistry and research compiled by botanical experts
GREEN BAY, Wis., March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- EuroPharma, Inc.®, makers of the Terry Naturally® brand of dietary supplements, announces the publication by the nonprofit American Botanical Council (ABC) of its Ingredient-Specific Monograph on BCM-95® (also marketed as Curcugreen™), a proprietary patented extract made from the rhizome of the popular spice and medicinal plant turmeric (Curcuma longa). All the components in BCM-95 curcumin are from the turmeric plant, including the turmeric essential oil used to enhance absorption and benefits. The monograph publication also contains a Clinical Overview section that summarizes the health and clinical data on the extract.
The information in the monograph was compiled and summarized by Marilyn L. Barrett, PhD, a research and consulting pharmacognosist, and was peer reviewed by various medicinal plant specialists with knowledge of turmeric and curcumin research.
"We are so happy to have the science on our curcumin products collected into a scientific monograph. The BCM-95 curcumin used in our CuraMed® and Curamin® line of products has been the subject of over 50 published studies, including 22 human clinical trials. It is the only curcumin product on the market in which the absorption is enhanced entirely by other compounds found in turmeric, namely the ar-turmerones in turmeric essential oil. There are absolutely no synthetic ingredients added to artificially affect absorption. Our curcumin's absorption is 700% better than plain curcumin. It is the most clinically studied enhanced absorption in the world," states Terry Lemerond, president and founder of EuroPharma, Inc.
"It was a pleasure to work with the ABC and Dr. Barrett," states Cheryl Myers, chief of scientific affairs and education, "While there have been several studies published since the clinical portion of the monograph was completed, it gives an excellent overview of what we know about the unique benefits of BCM-95 for health and wellness."
