TBWA\Asia Pacific Celebrates 2016 with an Impressive Performance at Campaign Asia's Agency of the Year Awards
Philip Brett named Creative Agency Network Head of the Year and Nils Andersson was named Regional Creative Head of the Year 2016
TBWA\Hakuhodo named Japan's Creative Agency of the Year for 7 years running
SINGAPORE, Dec. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- At the conclusion of an impressive awards festival, running over four nights across four key cities; Mumbai, Tokyo, Shanghai and Singapore, Campaign Asia wrapped up their much anticipated annual Agency of the Year Awards with TBWA\Asia Pacific winning nine 'Agency of the Year' titles and 12 Leadership Awards, which included; Philip Brett, president TBWA\Asia being named Creative Agency Network Head of the Year and Nils Andersson, Regional Creative of the Year 2016.
In Tokyo, TBWA\Hakuhodo celebrated its seventh consecutive Creative Agency of the Year win – a feat not achieved by any other agency in Japan, or within Asia Pacific, at this prestigious award show. Entering for the first year, TBWA\Digital Arts Network Japan was named Digital Agency of the Year. In addition to our success in Japan, TBWA\Korea was awarded Silver in the Creative Agency of the Year category, after a highly successful year on the new business front and further investment into their digital and consultancy capabilities.
In Shanghai, TBWA\Hong Kong secured Bronze in the Creative Agency of the Year category, while TBWA\Digital Arts Network Hong Kong won Silver.
In Mumbai, TBWA Sri Lanka was awarded Silver in the Creative of the Year Category.
In Singapore at the Australia\NZ, Southeast Asia and Regional Network Awards, the TBWA Collective picked up an additional three Agency of the Year recognitions; TBWA\Indonesia secured Creative Agency of the Year, Bronze; TBWA\Digital Arts Network Malaysia picked up Digital Agency of the Year, Bronze and Eleven PR was awarded a Bronze in the PR Agency of the Year category.
In addition to the Agency of the Year accolades, TBWA's leadership was recognised for the contribution to the overall success of the TBWA Collective throughout 2016.
Philip Brett, president TBWA\Asia, received the highly prized Creative Agency Network Head of the Year, while Nils Andersson was named Regional Creative Head of the Year.
Adding to the success of the regional leadership awards, TBWA\Hakudoho's Satoshi Chikayama was named Japan\Korea's North Asia Creative of the Year; Toshihiro Yashii was recognised as Japan\Korea's Account Person of the Year; Taiki Iino was named Japan\Korea's Strategic Brand Planner of the Year; Kazuaki Kuribayashi was recognised as Japan\Korea Young Achiever of the Year and TBWA\Hakuhodo's New Business Team were Runners up in the New Business Team of the Year Awards.
Southeast Asia Leadership Awards, Natalie Guris, head of planning, TBWA\Singapore was named Southeast Asia Strategic Brand Planner Head of the Year and TBWA\Singapore's new business team were recognised for their impressive new business success and named Southeast Asia New Business Team of the Year.
TBWA\Singapore's managing director, Ara Hampartsoumian was Runner up in the Southeast Asia, Head of the Year; Melvin Mangada, managing partner and chief creative officer, TBWA\SMP was named Southeast Asia Creative of the Year Runner up and Ryan Dwana, planning at TBWA\Indonesia was recognised as Southeast Asia's Young Achiever of the Year, Runner up.
