The partnership will kick off at the three day John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo held at the John B. Hynes Convention Center. TCS will also be sponsoring four information kiosks and tables frequented by marathon runners and spectators throughout the race weekend.
"Marathon runners are inherently dedicated, well-prepared, and persistent; these are traits that I encourage our employees to emulate each and every day," said N. Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD, TCS. "We are proud to say that TCS will field 20 runners, including TCS employees and clients, in this year's race."

In conjunction with these partnerships, TCS will actively engage in increasing awareness of heart disease. This year, TCS will be raising funds for the American Heart Association by providing onlookers at Copley Square with cowbells in exchange for a suggested $1 donation. The company is also encouraging all of its associates to participate in events, raise funds and focus on preventing heart disease and stroke through simple lifestyle changes.
"We are pleased to be sponsoring the Boston Marathon for another year and providing race updates to spectators at our various information stations," said Surya Kant, President of TCS' North America, UK and Europe business. "In addition, the marathon is our opportunity to give back to the community through our partnership with the American Heart Association."
