Talenti® Gelato & Sorbetto Launches Its First National Advertising Campaign
MINNEAPOLIS, May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Talenti® Gelato & Sorbetto – the world's best-selling packaged gelato – announces its foray into advertising with the launch of its first national campaign titled "The Talenti Story." The campaign was developed by the company's advertising agency of record, Fallon Worldwide, and is currently rolling out across several media verticals nationwide.
At the center of the campaign is a 90-second film and a series of 15-second, single ingredient stories that artfully showcase the company's core philosophy: searching for the finest ingredients around the world – from Argentina to India to Tahiti – and adapting an old-world method of gelato-making that doesn't cut corners. The film is deliberately non-linear and non-narrated, intended to convey the soul of the brand. The imagery is a bit off-kilter, yet honest – part travelogue, part documentary, part feel-good film with a quirky bent.
The campaign will appear in movie theaters and outdoor film series – including the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film festival in New York City – paired with sampling in key markets throughout the summer. As part of an extensive digital buy, the series will also appear on YouTube, Channel Factory, Hulu, Facebook, Twitter and media properties like BuzzFeed and on the rewards-based app, Shopkick. Additionally, Talenti will be running full-color print ads in select food publications.
"We are guided by an unwavering commitment to making the very best gelato and sorbetto possible and this campaign reflects this passion in a creative and quirky way," said Talenti Chairman, Dean Phillips. "We're excited for our loyal fans and new customers to connect and discover what inspires Talenti to produce the best tasting gelato in the world and commend Fallon for helping us do this in such a beautiful way."
To produce the video, Fallon teamed up with renowned director, Christopher Wilcha, who directed This American Life.
"In simplest terms, our Talenti work is a story about those who love to make the best gelato in the world and those who love to eat it," said Michael Buchner, Chief Executive Officer, Fallon Worldwide. "Our belief is that if people understand the passion that goes into sourcing the finest ingredients in the world and the uncompromising way in which Talenti is made, our loyal consumers will do the rest by spreading the Talenti love themselves. So in some ways, our job was to launch this true love story into the world and then just get out of the way. The product speaks for itself."
The Talenti Story can be viewed on the Talenti YouTube channel.
