NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), the leading analytics platform, welcomed more than 750 system integrators, value added resellers, and technology partners to its annual Global Partner Summit at Tableau Conference in New Orleans. At the event, the company announced plans to expand the global partner program with new certifications and trainings as well as support for bundled offers to better serve joint customers. Additionally, the company announced new product integrations with industry leading technology providers, from mapping to data cataloging, that extend Tableau's powerful analytics capabilities to better fit customers' needs. Tableau's partner community has generated a series of new and exciting extensions and integrations showcased in the Tableau Conference Data Village.

Tableau's partner program expansion plans feature new certification and training programs to help increase the number of skilled partner employees, in order to ensure customer success with Tableau. Additionally, Tableau's new support tier levels, Extended and Premium, which provide 24x7 support and access to Technical Account Managers, are now available to partners. Partners can provide these support offers, along with other professional services and training, via integrated and recommended bundles.

In addition to rolling out enhancements and solutions for the Global Partner Program, Tableau featured new product integrations with leading technology providers that enable customers to better manage and connect to their data. Newly released integrations include:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) new integrations: Tableau announced an expanded partnership with AWS, this included a new Extension for Amazon SageMaker, which enables customers to access the fully managed machine learning service directly from a Tableau dashboard, and released a new Tableau Server on AWS Healthcare Quick Start.
- Informatica Tableau Hyper Connector: Informatica launched native support for Tableau's high-performance, in-memory data engine, Hyper. Integrating Informatica's data management platform closely with Hyper and the Tableau platform enables enterprises to deliver high-performance analytics through an accelerated, robust analytics pipeline. - Unifi Data Catalog: The Unifi Data Catalog offers seamless integration to catalog Tableau metadata and crawl multiple Tableau servers to search projects, workbooks, worksheets and dashboards. Their new Unifi Data Catalog offers users a simple way to catalog the widest range of data sources, the ability to easily search and discover data no matter where it resides, using Natural Language Search, and AI-powered data discovery with auto-generated recommendations to view and explore similar data sets. New Dashboard Extensions Expand Functionality for Customers
Additionally, Tableau highlighted new partner solutions that leverage Tableau's Extension API, launched in July. The new extensions can be easily drag-and-dropped into a Tableau dashboard once installed. They can be downloaded at Tableau's Extension Gallery.
- Mapbox Geospatial Analytics: Leading mapping and location platform, Mapbox, launched a new innovative Geospatial Analytics Extension that embeds the power of advanced geospatial analysis inside Tableau dashboards. The Mapbox extension allows customers to easily aggregate spatial data into clusters and regular grids or transform the data into voronoi polygons or isobands.
- Automated Insights' Wordsmith: The natural language generation (NLG) platform from Automated Insights, and Wordsmith, recently introduced a new Tableau Extension that allows customers to embed written analytics directly within their Tableau dashboards, side-by-side with visualizations. The written analysis updates in real time as users explore the dashboard, augmenting customer analysis with clear, insightful context. With Wordsmith, Tableau customers can weave a cohesive story based on the entirety of their data and add a contextual layer to ensure dashboards are more accessible and easily shared.
- DataRobot Insights: Automated machine learning pioneer, DataRobot, rolled out DataRobot Insights, a new Tableau Extension which expedites exploratory analysis. This instantly reveals hidden patterns within the data, highlighting the most relevant variables for further analysis. Tableau users can now easily add AI into dashboards, accelerating analysis time and delivering more accurate, proactive insights that will help enterprises of all sizes spot patterns, identify correlations, and make better predictions with confidence.
- Narrative Science's Narratives for Tableau: Narratives for Tableau, instantly provides plain-English explanations of visualizations to give analysts a quick and easy way to communicate to dashboard viewers. This functionality allows users to generate interactive natural language stories that explain the insights within their data visualizations.
