NEW YORK, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Symphony Talent, a comprehensive talent acquisition solutions provider, today announced the appointments of Carl Calarco as chief financial officer and Mark Baker as executive vice president of global sales. Their additions reflect the organization's commitment to build and deliver the first and only end-to-end talent acquisition solution, equipping companies to significantly improve time to hire and quality of hire while decreasing cost per hire.
"Welcoming Mark and Carl onto our executive team marks a strategic step into an exciting period of growth for Symphony Talent, as we scale our bold vision to redefine how brands and talent connect," commented Roopesh Nair, CEO, Symphony Talent. "With their combined experience of driving successful results for leading solution focused companies, Carl and Mark are already making key contributions in managing and growing our footprint worldwide."
In March, Symphony Talent unveiled Experience Cloud (X-Cloud), an omni-channel experience platform for candidates, employers and employees and Media Cloud (M-Cloud), an artificial intelligence-based media buying platform for employers worldwide. Added to Hodes, the company's award-winning creative and employer branding agency, Symphony Talent provides the only modern, end-to-end talent acquisition solution available today.
Calarco, who leads Symphony Talent's finance, legal and IT teams, brings more than two decades of financial and business operations acumen to the organization. His experience includes serving as chief financial officer at technology companies, Qognify and Createthe Group. He also served as divisional chief financial officer at DoubleClick, where he was critical to driving the growth, before it was sold to Google. He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from University at Buffalo.
Baker joins Symphony Talent with over 25 years of enterprise sales and leadership experience and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, with a heavy emphasis in the Human Capital Management technology market. In his new role, Baker is responsible for helping set the company's go-to-market strategy, developing a global sales team, and providing organizational leadership as part of the Senior Leadership team. Previously, he held leadership roles with Monster, ADP, Citrix and Urban Airship. Baker earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business and Marketing from Portland State University.
These two key executive hires follow Symphony Talent's appointment of Simon Phillips, formerly the Hodes UK managing director, as chief creative and brand officer for Hodes globally last month.
