MT. PLEASANT, S.C., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TaxTalent, the career and leadership development portal for tax professionals, recently uncovered significant recruiting and retention challenges facing tax departments. The findings were based on two independent surveys covering hiring and career satisfaction trends for US-based corporate in-house tax professionals in 2015.

According to Tony Santiago, president of TaxTalent and TaxSearch, the combined surveys answer two fundamental questions currently impacting both the attraction and retention of tax professionals.
- Which talent pool is in highest demand within corporate in house tax functions?
- What is the primary reason this talent pool would stay or leave their current job?
Santiago believes every corporate tax employer should take notice of the data uncovered in these reports. "The studies revealed that 89% of all hiring projected in 2015 will be within the staff to manager level positions," said Santiago.
"The majority of this high-demand talent pool believes management does not understand their career goals. What is even worse, the #1 reason these employees would be motivated to leave their jobs was the lack of understanding and support of their career goals from their current tax employers," Santiago concluded.
Santiago believes career growth and development is a joint responsibility for both the employer and the individual. His firm provides free tips to each group within the Survey Summary download.
