Summit Business Media Names Richard H. Kravitz Vice President and Managing Director of Reference Division
ERLANGER, Ky., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Business Media today announced that Richard H. Kravitz has been named Vice President and Managing Director of Summit's Reference Division. Kravitz, previously a senior executive at Wolters Kluwer US Corp., joins Summit in its Erlanger and Hoboken, New Jersey offices.

The Reference Division is best known for its Tax Facts series, used by tens of thousands of insurance agents and financial advisors, and the Fire, Casualty and Surety Bulletins ("FC&S"), the definitive policy interpretation service for property-casualty underwriters and claims executives. It also publishes several dozen print and electronic reference texts, as well as continuing education training and administration services for the insurance industry. Increasingly Summit's products are used in its electronic formats and embedded into insurance and financial institution workflow applications.
Kravitz's 16-year career with Wolters Kluwer spanned a number of its units. Most recently he was Executive Vice President, Business Development, for the Law and Business Division, with operating responsibility for more than $100 million in revenue. In that role he restructured a number of legacy brands, focusing on digital transformation. Prior to that position, Kravitz was Senior Vice President and Group Publisher of Aspen Publishers, growing that Wolters Kluwer unit to nearly $200 million in ten years, acquiring 19 businesses and product lines and leading business development initiatives, both resulting in strong growth for the unit. Kravitz also was group publisher at Warren, Gorham and Lamont, and a general manager at Diners Club, a Citigroup unit. He began his career as a CPA at Deloitte & Touche, followed by several accounting and audit roles in media companies. Kravitz holds a BA in Economics and Spanish Literature and an MBA from New York University, is a CPA, Diplomate of the American College of Forensic Examiners, and a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. He is also a licensed captain in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
In addition to Kravitz, the Reference Division also announces the hiring of Gerry Centrowitz, the Reference Division's Director of Sales and Marketing. Centrowitz is also formerly of Wolters Kluwer, where he managed a multi-channel sales operation, generating $250 million in revenue. He previously worked at RIA, a Thomson Reuters Company and the American Management Association. During his college career at Western Kentucky University, Centrowitz was an elite long-distance runner.
