Su-Lin Cheng Nichols and Greg Jenkins to Join Brunswick Group's Rapidly Expanding Washington D.C. and San Francisco Offices
WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Brunswick Group LLC, a leading global communications firm, today announced the hiring of Su-Lin Cheng Nichols as a Director in the firm's Washington D.C. office and Greg Jenkins as a Director in the firm's San Francisco Office. Nichols' hiring is another senior-level addition to Brunswick's rapidly expanding D.C. office, which has almost doubled its staff in the past year and has plans for continued growth in 2010. Adding Jenkins to its growing team in San Francisco further demonstrates the firm's commitment to recruiting top-level talent while growing its west coast practice and U.S. operation.
Nichols has more than 15 years of experience in senior communications and public affairs positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Communications for the Newspaper Association of America (NAA). Nichols' primary practice areas at Brunswick will be media relations, corporate reputation and public affairs.

Jenkins brings more than 20 years experience in corporate/political communications and journalism, most recently heading his own consulting firm and advising several large corporate clients.

Su-Lin Cheng Nichols
Nichols has served as the chief communications executive for the NAA since 2004. At the NAA, she had responsibility for all aspects of the trade association's communications strategy and led a team of media relations, Web and editorial professionals. Throughout her tenure at the NAA, Nichols worked closely with the Board of Directors to develop programs that elevated critical industry messages to the advertising community. From January 2004 through May 2009, Nichols was the publisher of Presstime, the award-winning magazine of the association.
Prior to the NAA, Nichols was Executive Director of Communications for ABC News in Washington from 1993 to 2004. She was the chief spokesperson for "Nightline" and "This Week" and managed the national publicity for the network's presidential election coverage in 1996 and 2000. At ABC News, she was responsible for working with talent, message development, crisis communications and media relations.
Nichols has also held communications positions with WETA-TV, the third-largest producing station in the PBS System, MCI Communications and CNN. She holds a BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. Nichols will join the Brunswick Washington D.C. office on January 19, 2010.
Greg Jenkins
For the past several years Jenkins has advised several organizations with their strategic, campaign and crisis communications efforts as well as corporate and product reputational branding issues. He has also worked with companies to develop and maximize their corporate social responsibility efforts.
Prior to this, Jenkins was Deputy Assistant to the President from 2001 to 2005. He was Communications Director for the International Trade Administration where he organized strategies around international trade treaty and domestic industry sector issues. Jenkins was also dispatched by the White House to Pakistan and Afghanistan to organize an ongoing communications apparatus to forward Coalition messaging in the autumn of 2001. He concluded his tenure with the Administration as head of the office that organized and produced the hundreds of Presidential events worldwide every year.
Jenkins was also a producer at Fox News Channel's Washington, D.C. bureau where he covered political, international and breaking news. He was also assigned to Macedonia and Serbia during the Kosovo War to produce network coverage from in-theater. He joined the Brunswick San Francisco office on January 11, 2010.
