MAHWAH, N.J., Aug. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Stryker Orthopaedics, the Official Joint Replacement Products of the PGA TOUR® and PGA TOUR Champions, will return to one of the most acclaimed PGA TOUR Champions events – The 3M Championship. At the tournament's 25th anniversary, Stryker will host tournament goers at The Mobility Zone – a destination designed to educate golf fans on the importance of joint health at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, MN.
"It's exciting for me to see Stryker back here at this tournament for a third year," said Stryker brand ambassador and GetAroundKnee® recipient, Fred Funk. "It's definitely a competitive one, featuring some of the best on TOUR. At the tournament, Stryker will showcase its commitment to educate tournament goers about the importance of leading an active lifestyle and having healthy joints. Inside The Mobility Zone– fans can partake in the new Stryker Challenge – a hands-on experience featuring Art H. Ritis, a life-size model that aims to provide tournament goers with a basic understanding of joint replacement surgery and Stryker's products. In addition, fans who stop by The Mobility Zone will be able to enter for a chance to win a trip for two to Atlanta, GA for the TOUR Championship® and walk inside the ropes as an honorary observer – a true VIP experience.1,2
During the company's eighth PGA TOUR stop of the year, Stryker will host the Health Walk – a two mile walk that highlights joint health facts and tips along the course to educate fans as they follow their favorite golfers. Through this initiative, Stryker looks to further demonstrate its commitment to motivating fans to stay active throughout tournament week.
"Stryker recognizes tournament goers' enthusiasm for 3M Championship's 25th anniversary and we're excited be part of the celebration with our on-site experience," said Bill Huffnagle, President, Stryker's Joint Replacement Division. "The Mobility Zone and Health Walk offer fans the opportunity to learn the importance of joint health and staying active with fun and engaging stats and facts."
