StockTwits Makes it Easier to Find Great Investing Ideas with Rollout of New 'Discover' Feature
Fast-growing social platform is adding stock lists, curated content and earnings calendar to make it easier for investors to find great ideas and insight
NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- StockTwits, the largest social platform for traders and investors, has announced it is launching redesigned web and mobile sites, and is adding a new feature called Discover that will curate important stock information and highlight the best of the over 1 million member community.

Among the new features are curated lists that showcase stocks of possible interest to the user and investments that they might want to make, based on market themes, what top investors are doing, and market data. Users will have the option to make trades directly from the app from major brokerages with a few simple swipes, the company said.
Another new feature of Discover is Highlights - curated content from the site, including groups of messages on market trends and breaking news. More than 150,000 messages are exchanged between StockTwits users every day, and the new feature will highlight some of the most important insights that are shared.
Earnings is one of the busiest times on StockTwits, so they have added a calendar to keep investors up to date during earnings season. StockTwits also added a breaking news section, so users can keep up on events that move markets without having to navigate away from the site.
"This is a community of individual retail investors that has been underserved by traditional brokers, asset managers and financial media. StockTwits is changing that," said Ian Rosen of StockTwits. StockTwits has more than 1.1 million registered users, and several times that number of total engaged visitors. Both its user base and monthly visitors have grown by 50% year over year. The company has no rivals, as no others offer a platform with social components designed to appeal to the social natives.
