Mackin will report to Cancer Treatment Centers of America President and CEO, Gerard van Grinsven. "Steve has a proven track record for successfully leading strong results oriented teams", said van Grinsven. Mackin joined CTCA in 1998 as the first management fellow. He held various executive positions in Tulsa, including assistant vice president of Oncology Patient Services, vice president of Ancillary Services, chief operating officer, and was then named president and CEO at the Tulsa hospital in 2008. Under Mackin's leadership, the hospital has dramatically expanded its technology platform, such as adding Intraoperative Radiation Therapy and CyberKnife® VSI™ to its radiation program; implemented new services, such as the Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy Program; and increased the employee and physician base by almost 200 people to help better serve patients. Haldeman is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. "Richard is exactly the type of leader CTCA looks for," said van Grinsven.
