PHOENIX, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul International, Inc. appointed Steve Dudley to the position of vice president of Retail Sales. Dudley steps into the role that was previously held by Bob Wesson, who was recently named vice president of U-Haul Field Operations.
Dudley joined U-Haul in 2001 as a parts specialist at the U-Haul Repair Shop in Tempe, Ariz. A year later, he became a buyer for the U-Haul Purchasing Department at the U-Haul Technical Center, also located in Tempe, Ariz. "This position will allow me to utilize the skill sets I learned as Boxes and Moving Supplies Program manager," Dudley began. "Each position I've held has lent itself to the next, and I will continually draw on those varied experiences to better our customer experience."
"Steve has a fierce competitive nature and is extremely passionate about the Company's business," declared John "J.T." Taylor, president, U-Haul International, Inc. "Steve has worked diligently to better understand what our customers' moving supply needs are when moving, evaluated competitive offerings and ensured that our customers receive the highest quality product at the lowest cost."
"I really enjoy serving customers," Dudley emphasized. "We're not just a truck-rental company. We have everything you need for a do-it-yourself move, from top to bottom."
Dudley plans to continue developing technology that makes life easier and more efficient for U-Haul customers.
